As a huge fan of thirty rock, Tina Fey, and all about female empowerment- I thought this book was great. We listened to it on our drive back up from Los Angeles- it was great to hear it read by none other than Tina Fey herself.

Historical Fiction- My favorite genre. Tells the story of vibrant female protagonist and the the Leper colony in Hawaii. Just a really good story- a really good one.
The Help Kathryn Stockett
Another Historical Fiction told from alternating perspectives between black maids and white women in the South.
Devil in the White City Erik Larson
Set in Chicago and tells two stories, that of the architects of the Worlds Fair and of a Serial Killer- maybe dont read late at night by yourself.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Stieg Larson
I listened to this one on audio book while going for long runs- it has a good mystery, a bit graphic at times, but it kept me running to listen longer to find out what happens next
